Woomi Construction has announced its intention to purchase 10.26 million shares of BCG as well as 1.72 million shares of TCD, equivalent to 9.5% of BCG shares and 5% of TCD shares respectively, and thus will officially become a major shareholder of both companies. The transaction is to be executed by May 16th, 2018.

As of up to now, besides Woomi Construction, other institutional shareholders of BCG include DOJI Group, Imperial Dragon Investments Limited (Hong Kong), and those of TCD include Intact Management (Taiwan) and Bao Viet Securities JSC.

After identifying potential cooperation opportunities and extensive due diligence, Woomi Construction has decided to invest directly in both BCG and TCD on their corporate levels. According to plan, the company will assist BCG Board of Directors in developing a diversified portfolio of real estate projects as well as to connect with business partners from Korea. On the TCD side, Woomi Construction will play the role of a technical consultant and be mainly in charge of technology transfer with the intention to help TCD become one of the leading construction companies in Vietnam.
