(TNO) While hydropower plants report losses or profits plummeted, thermal and solar power companies generate large revenues.
Bamboo Capital JSC (BCG) achieved after-tax profit after the first three months of this year of VND14.28 billion, an increase of 163% compared to early 2018. The company explained that some subsidiaries are more efficient so the profit margin is increasing. Bamboo Capital is one of the businesses that is promoting investment in renewable energy. At the recent 2019 Annual General Meeting, the company leader said this year was the time when the two real estate and energy segments officially recorded revenue. In particular, two solar projects with a capacity of 40 MW and 100 MW in Long An province were put into operation in June 2010, will create a new revenue source for long-term stability. By 2020, the revenue structure will again have a strong shift, in which real estate revenue will gradually decrease and revenue from selling energy due to solar farms has generated a high proportion of commercial electricity.
