(Vietnamese countryside) On May 30, 2020, less than 1 month after the survey, the Organizing Committee of the Rural Bridge Program - Vietnam Rural Magazine held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of two residential bridges. Born in Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province sponsored by Bamboo Capital Group with total estimated investment capital of more than 3.3 billion VND. The commencement ceremony of these two bridges also marked a new step forward of the program when the first bridges were built in Binh Dinh province.

2 bridge projects to be started are Xom Bac bridge (Cat Tan commune) 39.5m long, 4m wide, with a height of 3.45m with a total investment of more than 2 billion VND; Chanh Lac bridge (Cat Tuong commune) 26.5m long, 4m wide, and has a height of 3.45m with a total investment of more than 1.3 billion VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Duc Quang - Head of the Organizing Committee of Rural Bridge program, General Editor of Vietnam Rural Magazine said that after more than 3 years since its launch, the Rural Bridge program has mobilized to build building hundreds of bridges in the provinces of Long An, Dong Thap and An Giang. Currently, the program is expanding to the central provinces and the Central Highlands, where Binh Dinh is the first place the program is going. In the future, the program will continue to mobilize more businesses to build more local demand.
Nguyen Ho Nam - Chairman of Bamboo Capital Group said that in addition to carrying out investment and business in Binh Dinh province, the Group also has a budget to join hands with localities to implement social security activities festival.
"I hope that the bridges will be put into use in the next 3 months, before the rainy season starts so that people can travel conveniently", Mr. Nam told the locality.

Nguyen Trung Kien - Chairman of Phu Cat District People's Committee said that over the past years, implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the People's Committee of Phu Cat district has mobilizing resources to invest in building many processes of people living in service of local socio-economic development, solving people's travel and production needs. However, due to limited local capital, at present, Phu Cat district still 7 bridges in essential locations but has not yet been built. Two bridges constructed this time are on that list.

“We commit that business funding will be used effectively, publicly, transparently and works will be completed on schedule. For Xom Bac bridge, Phu Cat district will mobilizing resources along with local capital sources to build the road to the bridge about 500m, the 4m wide roadbed synchronous with the bridge, ensuring the criteria. The bridge will be built to where the road will finish,” Mr. Kien said.
